Hommage à Mercedes-Benz | Emotional Aerodynamics Concept
The competition type project Hommage à Mercedes-Benz was kicked off by Gorden Wagener in September 2009 at MOME. Backed by Mercedes-Benz Design, the task was to create a sculpture that pays homage to Mercedes's values, successes and history. The chosen project went all the way to a full scale model, a show car to celebrate the opening of the company's new plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.
Emotional Aerodynamics Concept was first unveiled to the public on 7th October 2010 at the Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest.

Nature is an endless source of inspiration for art and technology at the same time. This concept pays homage to Mercedes-Benz’s aerodynamic and bionic endeavor. The car gives an impression that it was shaped by the forces of nature in hundreds of years like crevices by streamlets. Body surfaces evolved by the impact of higher and lower drag accordingly.
